Progressing to the Bikini {4 Weeks to go!}

We’re less than a month out from the big (scary) day! The bikini has arrived and I squirmed my way into this little thing. The top is normal, but these bottoms are TINY! It’s the size where you are constantly tugging on it, assuming it much have more fabric to give. But it doesn’t.

I immediately tried it on and recruited Kirk to snap a few photos. Since I’ve had so many requests for progress photos and this a fairly flattering shot, I thought it was time to share. This is pretty scary to do, but I guess I’ll be walking around on stage in this suit, so I should get used to it…

So…that’s me in a sparkly bikini. I do want to add a little extra bling between the boobs, so I’m planning to see what I can find at a local craft store in the next few weeks. The back of this suit is where you really appreciate just how little fabric is on this thing, but you’ll have to wait for that photo.

The Workouts

Now that I’ve shared the progress, how about an update on the workouts I’m doing to get to that stage? The total workout length per day is lower than it was the last group, but it’s wiping me out! I’m always a little surprised when I see the time on the JEFIT app summary screen, about an hour each workout. With 45 minutes of cardio, that means I’m under 2 hours per day.

  • Monday – Legs, Shoulders + PM Cardio
  • Tuesday – Back, Chest, Abs + PM Cardio
  • Wednesday – Legs, Triceps + PM Cardio
  • Thursday –  Shoulders, Legs, Biceps + PM Cardio
  • Friday – Off!
  • Saturday – Legs, Shoulders + PM Cardio
  • Sunday – Back, Chest, Abs + PM Cardio

It Never Gets Easier.

Things are feeling harder right now, but I know I still have work to do. I also know that this is about how I feel toward the end of training for a long-distance race. It’s time to suck it up and get it done. Training gets tough, but it’s pushing through to the end that allows you to make the big breakthroughs! I just have to keep focusing on the results.

While I only post weekly updates here, I post most of my workouts on Instagram throughout the week. I hope you’ll follow me there to keep me accountable & motivated!
