LiveFit Trainer: Week 3 Recap

Another week of LiveFit Trainer is crossed off the calendar and only one week left of the first phase! I have to say, I’m liking all the extra free time I have (especially on the weekends), so it will be interesting adding in cardio again soon.

The Workouts

This was my first week of 5 strength workouts in a row! My legs were SHOT last week – the combination of heavy legs, followed by fencing on Tuesday was a little much. I actually had to back off the weight on Thursday to make sure I didn’t end up overdoing it & end up hurting myself. I now fully understand the meaning of “leg day”. 🙂

After three weeks on this training plan, I’m still going strong! I’m enjoying my mornings at the gym & am still surprised at how easily I’m getting out of bed every morning. Just another reminder that completely changing your workouts can be a GOOD thing for motivation!

By the way, did you hear I actually signed up for a 6-week Intro to Fencing class! Yep, I had so much fun last week, I decided I had to try it again! My first class is tonight – so I hope you’re not sick of hearing about fencing yet.

The Nutrition

I only tracked my nutrition stats that one day last week, but my meals are fairly similar from day to day right now. Just a few tweaks here and there to keep it interesting, but I expect my stats are pretty close. I’m planning to track just one day a week, so that I can get a gauge of where I am with protein and make sure I keep the good trend going!

As for supplements, stay tuned for a summary of what I’m currently taking coming Friday!

The Clothes

So I’m going to be a little girly now and talk about gym clothes. It’s interesting, because I dress a little differently for the gym than I did for tri training. I can wear cotton shirts (like the Team USA one I picked up at the Olympic Training Center), which I avoid at all costs when I do cardio. I also prefer capris right now, so I’m not worried about flashing anyone in my running shirts.

Although I have more choices for my gym clothes, I still find I like to look cute – I do have to take a #proof photo after all! Today I wore my latest outfit from Ellie, which thankfully was full of bring colors again. The top is AWESOME!

My photo from this morning doesn’t really do it justice, so I grabbed a more professional photo from the website for comparison. The capris are good too, but the top is just so unique and fun, it’s what I’m most excited about. Plus, it took about a week from order to delivery, so I’m happy to see they are getting their shipping issues under control!
