High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a popular training method, especially with bikini competitors you see online. Is HIIT the cardio method required for competing?
That’s the question I’m tackling in today’s video – does my cardio training move to mainly HIIT as I get closer to a show? You know I love my running (and cycling!), so what do I do? Hear my thoughts and approach in the latest video in my bikini competition series:
Highlights from the video:
- HIIT is a great way to ramp up the intensity and help improve fat burning.
- Steady-state training gets a bad rap, it can also be great for fat burning and overall conditioning!
- Both can be part of your training, based on your goals and how your body is responding.
- I actually like running longer or cycling longer, so for me I LIKE to do both.
