Do you know why I love this time of year? Because the temperature is cooling off, the leaves are turning, AND it’s almost snowboarding season. I usually say football fits in this category too, but my team had a rough time last weekend, so I’m avoiding that topic for now.
This is also a great time of year to think about preparing your skin for the changing seasons, which is what three of this month’s favorites may help you do! And while you’re switching your closet from summer to winter clothes, you might as well add some organization for your jewelry to the list. Is there such a thing as Fall cleaning, like there is a Spring cleaning?
You may notice I’m bringing back an old favorite in this post, as well. It had slipped out of my routine for the summer, but it’s made a comeback and made the list again!
Disclaimer: I sometimes receive products for review, which I have noted in the description. As always, I only share things that I would recommend to my family and friends. You can read my disclosure policy here.
FITaspire Favorites: October
1. Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask – $19.50
Charcoal seems to be a popular beauty product recently for it’s detoxifying properties. That’s what stood out to me when derma e® offered me the chance to try a few of their products. The Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask said to purge pores of deeply rooted toxins while exfoliating away micropollutants. It seemed to work well to clear up and refresh my skin, particularly after our weekends in the outdoors. Their products are cruelty-free, 100 percent vegan, and their operations are offset 100 percent by wind power! I’m about to place an order for this mask myself, so it comes with a high recommendation.
2. Diva Stuff Sugar Derm Facial Firm – $9.99
I found Diva Stuff through Jane.com early this year and enjoyed the sea salt face wash I tried first. I placed an order with them to try a number of their skincare products and this sugar scrub face wash was my favorite! I don’t use this every day, but instead I used it while relaxing in the tub after a long workout – the sugar texture leavees your face feeling extra clean.
They have a lot of interesting products on the site and handmade their products to be as natural as possible (and NEVER tested on animals). This is important to me with anything I put on my skin, so it’s another company worth checking out!
3. NYL Serum – $60.00
I originally reviewed NYL almost two years ago and I’m still a big fan of their natural skincare line. I had stopped using the serum this summer – not for a specific reason, but it just fell out of my routine. In the last month, I pulled it back out and remembered how amazing this stuff is! It’s so soft and moisturizing on my skin and it visibly improves my skin tone. You don’t realize how well it works after a while, because it keeps it looking so healthy. I’m almost glad I stopped using it for a while, so I would be reminded how much I love it when I found it again!

4. Wall Mounted Jewelry Organizer – $43.99
I found this organizer on Etsy earlier this year, as I wanted a way to better organize my jewelry. Espeically with necklaces, it can be hard to find a nice way to store them and prevent tangles. This wooden organizer hands on the wall in my closet and has plenty of space for earrings (I put rings on the earring holders too) and decent space for necklaces. I have several necklaces hanging on each hook, which seems to work well. It’s worked really well to keep me more organized and actually find what I’m looking for when I am getting ready!
That’s all for this month! You can see past FITaspire Favorite roundups here. I hope you find at least one new “favorite” to try for yourself.
