    these are all excellent tips and i’m SO happy u opened up with the importance of shoes! i cringe when i see people running in converse! 😛

    i’d say one of my top tips is to remember there’s no secret to running better, it’s all about consistency. hope u’re having a wonderful weekend!

      So glad you came by Nadiya! As I find with most sports, distance is all relative. You just need to take your time and work up your distance slowly, then it doesn’t feel too overwhelming. Believe me – I had NO idea what I was doing when I got started! :)

    A seriously great series – loving these wrap-up-the-year posts, Heather! 😀 A top fitness tip from me? Hmmm… Live the lifestyle. It’s not about one good training period or a few months of clean eating even – it’s about living the life with each choice, day in and day out for the! And that’s a good thing. 😀

      Thank you!! I was hoping people would enjoy them and it wouldn’t be “looking back overload”. :)

      Great tip from you – live it, instead of a race at a time. That’s a harder one for me, which is why I choose so many races, but I hope to eventually be more intrinsically motivated with fitness.
